Manado Records 0.14 Percent Inflation in August 2026

The Head of the Manado City Statistics Agency (BPS), Simon Remiasa, S.ST, M.A.P., released the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for July 2026 on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. The August 2026 CPI release was conducted via Zoom Meeting and YouTube live streaming.

In his presentation, Simon explained that in August 2026, Manado City experienced year-on-year (y-o-y) inflation of 4.21 percent, with a CPI of 111.40. The main contributor to the y-o-y inflation was the food, beverage, and tobacco category, with a share of 1.46 percent. Meanwhile, the month-to-month (m-to-m) and year-to-date (y-o-d) inflation rates for Manado City in August 2026 were 0.14 and 3.75 percent, respectively. The main contributor to month-to-month inflation was the transportation sector, contributing 0.14 percent.
